they are best of friends! and i think after awhile his father would get pissed off at his son for not already 'tapping' that and he'd tell april. because,he tells her everything. so she takes it into her own hands to do so, and well he'll feel bad! he knows her true self and he'd be sad for taking away her innocence but then it might let his father loosen up and let him leave the house a bit more.
